Heading to Nigeria!

Happy Sunday! It’s a VERY snowy day in Minnesota, and we are told it was a very toasty day in Nigeria! What a wonderful God we serve!
There are so many exciting things happening!
First, the Ajibero family plans to return to Nigeria in July for a couple of years. So many things are happening with the ministry that we want to be on the ground to experience it and help move things forward! Although we have excellent staff on-site, we spend hours a day directing things there. We are ready to be in the middle of it all!
It is amazing to see how God is orchestrating it all. First, Toba has been teaching at a community college here, and they have offered him a full load of online classes for the fall. Thank you, Jesus! He can keep his foot in the door in his teaching career, remain fully involved in the ministry in Nigeria, and still provide an income for the family. God is good!
At the same time, God has opened a door for Laura and the kids to get involved in another ministry in Ibadan. There is an international Christian school, American Christian Academy, that is located right there. They have had students from almost 60 different countries over the last 30 years, and it’s a great opportunity to share Jesus with the nations! They have offered Laura a teaching job and provided spots for all our children to attend their school, free of charge. (Those of you who have been around a while will remember Laura used to teach at a school in Peru; this school feels very similar!)

If anyone has been interested in working with our ministry in Nigeria but just doesn’t think they can pull it off, and has any interest in teaching, American Christian Academy in Ibadan, Nigeria, is still hiring. They need missionary teachers for their preschool, elementary, and high school English classes. Do you want to come hang out with us in Nigeria? Do you want to teach at American Christian Academy during the week, and join us at Hopeful Academy once a week or for special weekend events? American Christian Academy, Ibadan, provides housing in a secure environment, a stipend for living expenses, and more. (For those who are concerned about Nigeria after all the news, our corner of Nigeria is not the troubled side of the country! We are not worried about our safety, so your safety is not a concern. Above all, globally, God remains our safety.) We’d love to share more about the school and connect you to American Christian Academy, Ibadan, for more info! If you aren’t ready now, please spread the news! Meet the Principal, Karen Nwulu, introducing ACA.
We are also starting to seek more sponsors for our students at Hopeful Academy. To bring in another set of students this fall, we need additional sponsors! We are hoping to have around 30 students to start the new school year. We are praying that God will provide enough sponsors so we can accept these students into our school. We currently know of 6 sponsors planning to renew their sponsorship from this past year, so we need 24 more! Last year, we asked for $30/month ($360 for the year), and that has gone a long way! However, the exchange rate has decreased. Therefore, if people can afford to do $40/month ($480 for the year), that would be great. But if $30 is what you can afford, please still join our sponsorship team!
Thank you again for all the ways God has used each of you in the ministry. Please pray for all that God is doing, the changes coming for the Ajiberos as we transition to Nigeria, the mission opportunities at our ministry in Nigeria and American Christian Academy, for student sponsors and the building of the girls’ dormitory, and for the banquet too. We’d love to hear from you. Blessings!
