Short ministry update!

Happy weekend, friends! We thank God that things have continued to go well in Nigeria with the ministry and Hopeful Academy.

Our dormitory project is still ongoing. We’ve raised over $ 3,000, so we are still trusting God to provide the remaining $17,436.86 to finish the girls’ dormitory. Our prayer is that this can be completed by July 2026 so that, when we admit more students by September, the girls will have their new housing ready, freeing up their current living space for its original purpose.

Also, we have recently hired two security men who patrol our property 24/7. This just adds an extra peace of mind that extra eyes are aware of what is happening in the area. We have therefore spent the last week getting the roof on the security house. These men are happy to have their own secure place to sleep. The building still needs electricity and plumbing, so those pieces will be completed in the weeks to come.

On Saturdays, our students partake in a music class and have recently started learning the recorder. They really enjoy this weekend activity!

In addition, we have officially established a partnership with the Social Ministries Department of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. We believe God to use this relationship to strengthen the body of Christ and support the needy in various communities.

Further, we have a new volunteer working as our account manager in Nigeria. Toyosi has stepped up to the plate to continue ensuring our records are kept in order and that money is spent correctly. Thanks, Toyosi!
