African Hope Ministry

Fundraising Banquet

Our second annual Fundraising Banquet for all the friends of African Hope Ministry is nearly here! In two weeks, we will gather in Bloomington, MN at Southtown Baptist Church. We will share updates, vision for the future, current happenings, and more! Come enjoy a tasty meal and take home some treats. A Puff Puff bake sale will be in effect. Take some home for another day! This fundraiser has no ticket cost, but a free will donation will be accepted, and bake sale items will be up for grabs. Our major funding goals for this event include:
  1. Buying exterior and interior doors, windows, toilet doors, and burglary proofing for the academic building. ($3,600) $400 was sent already, and the burglary proof is in process!
  2. The rest of the pieces needed to complete the ground floor of the academic building: plumbing, electrical, tiles, sewer, and plastering the walls. ($9,000)
  3. Attaining sponsors for the students of our free education at Hopeful Academy Middle School. ($30/month for a year, starting in early August. We already have 2 sponsors and need 18 more!)

School Supply Distribution

In 2024 we delivered school supplies to two different communities within Ibadan. Around 150 students were given notebooks to help them as they start a new school year.

Food Distribution

On April 6, 2024 a food distribution was taken to the Oje Community in Ibadan, Nigeria. We planned for 100 children, but more than 200 came! God continues to provide!

Food Outreach

November 2023

On November 25, 2023 we held a food distribution at our property in Koleosho, Ibadan, Nigeria. We asked the community to provide 35 people (we planned for 50) and more than 100 came! God is so good!

School Outreach

 July 2023

At the end of July, Rescue the Hopeless Mission did a school supply outreach, helping needy students be prepared for school when it resumes in September. 30 students were invited and 24 were able to make it. Every student received:
  • a customized backpack
  • 10 customized notebooks
  • 1000 Naira, which helped with their transportation and will allow them to purchase some other small things
  • a prepared meal of rice, fish, and a drink

Students were very grateful. Several commented that they have never had a stack of notebooks to start the year, because their parents buy one at a time as they are able throughout the school year. This means they are not actually prepared for school and their learning is hindered.  Praise the Lord for the opportunity to bless these few students.

Our next outreach is planned for November, before all the Christmas festivities begin.
